Here I think Fifa has failed miserably in that they do not own the process of delivering the images that form the basis of the decision, said SVT Sports expert Jonas Eriksson.

Now Fifa has presented new images of the goal.

"Other camera angles can be misleading, but based on this evidence, the whole ball was not over the line," writes one on Twitter.
