Germany coach Hansi Flick rejected the idea of his resignation from his position after his team's exit from the group stage in the 2022 World Cup, indicating in statements to the "ARD" network that this decision "is not related to him."
Flick, who took over the training of the national team in the summer of 2021, succeeding Joachim Loew, promised to conduct a "quick analysis" of the reasons for the fall of his team, expressing his "great disappointment" in what happened, and continued, "My team and I have done a good job, we have prepared the team well."
The German national team came out of the group stage for the second time in a row, despite its victory in its last match against Costa Rica 4-2, because Japan defeated Spain 2-1, achieving again the surprises of this group after its victory over Germany with the same result.
