Poland's goalkeeper will pay 100 euros to Messi ... and the reason for not celebrating the penalty kick

Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Chesny revealed that he would pay 100 euros to Argentine star Lionel Messi after the referee awarded a penalty kick to the latter in the match between the two teams in the third round of the group stage of the 2022 World Cup

. After the match, Chesney said in press statements that when the referee went to confirm the penalty kick through Video technology spoke to Messi and challenged him that the referee would not award a penalty kick, and if he did, I was ready to pay him 100 euros.

He jokingly explained, "I will pay 100 euros for Messi, even though I saved the penalty kick."

He added, "I don't know if this type of challenge is allowed in the World Cup, but I certainly wouldn't pay 100 euros to the Argentine star, who in turn wouldn't be interested in getting that amount."

The Poland goalkeeper concluded his remarks by explaining that he did not celebrate after saving the penalty kick, and said: "Yes, it was a wonderful feeling, but I kept calm and did not celebrate, because I was not sure that this kick would help us qualify."
