It hadn't been more than a minute and a half into the first period in the meeting between Linköping and Brynäs when Christoffer Ehn knee tackled Brynäs's Johannes Bjärninen.

Ehn was awarded a match penalty.

The first period ended goalless, but in the second there was a goal in each direction.

In the second half, things loosened up for Linköping, who went away and won convincingly with 5–2.

Markus Hännikäinen was the two-goal scorer.
