Jonna Sundling fell during the national premiere in Gällivare in December 2021 and injured her hand and missed the entire season.

During the summer, she has been training, but has not yet made her debut this season due to illness.

- She is not fit for competition, we would have liked her to be back now, of course, but on the other hand, there is no stress in her case, she is already ready for the WC, says national team manager Anders Byströ, to SVT Sport.

- It is to hurry slowly and not to do anything stupid at the beginning of the season, we saw last year as well, she has had some injuries in the last few years and has come back, so I am not worried at all.

When do you see her being able to start again?

- Not the Beitostölen (December 9-10), it will be too early, she has to train first and get some throughs, it's hard to say, the coaches know better, but at best around the Sakdinavian Cup in Östersund (16-18 December).

"Priority one is training"

Ingrid Vikman, new as women's coach this season, has better insight into Sundling's training routine.

- She is in training, but she is training and that is the most important thing right now, then we will see when there will be a first competition, she tells SVT Sport.

- I don't know, we take it as it comes, the first priority is training right now, says Vikman in conclusion.
