A strange reason gives the US women's national team 6.5 million euros as a reward from the Qatar World Cup

The American national team achieved a great achievement by qualifying for the round of 16 for the third time in a row in the 2022 World Cup, after it came in second place in Group B, which included leaders England, Iran and Wales.

The US national team will receive 13 million euros after reaching the final price to face the Netherlands.

But the surprise is that the "Yankees" will get only 50% of this bonus, while the other 50% will get the US women's soccer team.

FIFA rules state that each team participating in the group stage will receive 9 million euros, while it will rise to 13 million euros when it qualifies for the round of 16.

This comes after the representatives of the US men's national team and the same thing on the women's side signed an agreement that extends until 2028, providing for equal wages for both sexes.

Under this agreement, the World Cup prizes are shared equally between the two teams, and the same applies when the US national team participates in the Women’s World Cup, to ensure that the women’s team receives 6.5 million euros, which is more than the US team got when it won the Women’s World Cup in 2015 and 2016, as it got 6 millions of euros.
