Troubled times in Turin.

After the elimination of the Champions a little less than a month ago, the bad news for Juventus now come from the offices.

Andrea Agnelli, president of the entity, Pavel Nedved, vice president, CEO Maurizio Arrivabene and the entire board of directors en bloc resigned after an extraordinary council held on Monday night

In the absence of an official statement from the club, Italian media such as Sky Sports and

La Gazzetta dello Sport

have already terminated Agnelli's stage at the helm of the Vecchia Signora after 12 years as the chief executive.

As reported from Italy, this decision would have been precipitated after the police investigations in which the entity had been involved.

The most prominent, the so-called Prisma investigation, an alleged inflation of the market prices of its players to get more benefit in their subsequent sale.

According to this investigation, Juventus, in the 2020 financial year, given the socioeconomic situation generated by the pandemic, agreed to defer payments to certain players who were not included in that year's fiscal year.

Initially, the club communicated to Serie A the agreement with 17 players (one of them, Cristiano Ronaldo) to thus cut four months off their record and save a total of

62 million.

However, the police found documents in

which Juve ensured the payment of salaries

(even in the event of a transfer to another team, as happened to Ronaldo), thus canceling the positive balance of the accounts.

In the absence of a firm judicial decision, everything indicates that Ageenlli and his board of directors tried to hide information about the expenses and the financial situation of the club.
