So are there no real supporters of France in Qatar?

From the start of the World Cup, the people who came to support the Blues who marched in the street seemed "not very French", according to Internet users.

On the video of a parade, it appeared that the supporters of different teams all seemed to have the same origin, a priori Indian.

A new photograph comes to feed this idea: a group of supporters who wear jerseys of the French team.

A scarf with the inscription "Fronse", seems the indisputable argument to validate the theory of false supporters.

“Qatar wants us to believe that they are French supporters, but they do not even know how to write the name of the country correctly”, launches a user.

"Still people paid by Qatar," said another.

What is the reality behind this photograph?

FAKE OFF

In a quick image search, it appears that the photograph has indeed been published on many pages.

But in reality it is a montage.

On the original, surprisingly much less shared, it is not written "Fronse" on the scarf held by the supporters, but rather "France", correctly spelled.

Looking more closely, we actually see that the letters O and S have been roughly added.

A surfer has also claimed the editing, criticizing the fact that it was not mentioned when sharing it on the various social networks.

He calls in his publications for a boycott of this World Cup.

Another montage was made by writing “Frange” on the scarf, and modifying the hairstyle of one of the supporters.

Or by replacing the head of one of the supporters with that of Cyril Hanouna.

The original photograph contains no spelling errors or TPMP presenter.

It was notably shared by the Mexican media TV Azteca, in an article on the bets to be made for the France - Australia match.

The image is sourced from the Reuters news agency.

Regarding the "false supporters" mentioned for weeks, it is true that a certain number are from India as advanced by Internet users.

But a good number are Indians supporting other countries such as Brazil, Argentina or France.

On the side of the links with the organization of the cup, the British newspaper, the

Guardian

, reports that Qatar had planned to offer daily allowances to these "Fan Leaders", a payment so that they can in particular buy food and drinks on site.

Also according to the English newspaper, they would have learned of the cancellation of these allowances when they went there.
