It was during the Saturday evening that Andreas Borgman sank Linköping's Borc Little.

The star remained lying down and was finally helped by the ice.

"Don't make too many mistakes"

Yesterday, the verdict came from the Swedish Ice Hockey Association, which chose to suspend him for a period of time that was judged to correspond to four games - plus SEK 34,375 in fines.

- We do not agree with this verdict at all, Borgman tells Göteborgs-Posten, and elaborates:

- I never want anyone to get hurt.

I if anyone knows by now.

And somewhere I think I'm not doing much wrong in the situation itself.

You can't judge if someone gets hurt.

Injuries will happen whether it's ugly or not.

There must be a better assessment of the actual situation than what is happening to the player.

- Even Broc himself says that it wasn't ugly - but more unfortunate.

All respect to him, he is a very skilled player in the league and knows hockey.

That's where things go wrong somewhere - when others who don't know hockey make the decisions.

He jumps away, I don't change my power and don't pull out any legs or arms.

I hold my line.

If I had jumped away, it would have become even more dangerous for us.

Critical Frölunda coach

Borgman will not go to Luleå for the game against them tomorrow, but hope he will be available after that.

Frölunda's coach Roger Rönnberg also wants to see a changed verdict.

- There is partly an error in the judgment, as we play five matches during the time period.

We have a game in the CHL as well.

They missed that.

For one thing, we don't buy the justification we get from the Disciplinary Committee at all.

We have completely different opinions about what really happened - and the punishment is really, really too harsh, he says, adding:

- It's not a sneak attack, he sees that Borgman is coming.

It would be another matter if Little doesn't see Borgman - and he then follows through.

We want to get rid of that!

We do not like the decision.

It is the responsibility of both - and I have tried to push that thesis for a long time!

But the credibility is zero, because when it's one's own players who are affected by it, everyone thinks, as usual, that I'm just an idiot.

- Maybe I am, but I think de facto that we need to get better at this assessment - so that the assessment is not only based on consequence and damage.
