FIFA celebrated the number of fans who attended the Argentina-Mexico match at Lusail Stadium yesterday, Saturday, and confirmed that the match that ended with the victory of Lionel Messi's comrades achieved a historic record.

FIFA said - through its Twitter account - "Last night's Argentina match against Mexico at Lusail Stadium witnessed the highest participation rate in the men's World Cup in 28 years."

A number of fans documented, in clips spread on communication platforms, the moment the number of attendees was announced, which amounted to 88,996 fans.

In the context, the former Argentine player, Sergio Aguero, published 3 videos - through his Twitter account - that showed the mass presence of tango dancers in the stands of Lusail Stadium.

Argentina achieved its first victory in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, after defeating Mexico with two goals to none, to revive its hopes of qualifying for the second round.
