Ben Manga and Frankfurter Eintracht have agreed on a separation.

The contract of the 48-year-old director of professional football with the Bundesliga club will be terminated this Tuesday.

The association and executives had already agreed weeks ago that further cooperation no longer makes sense.

The contractually fixed transfer fee of the manga, which was tied to Eintracht until mid-2026, of three million euros stood in the way of a quick farewell.

The Frankfurters wanted to generate at least part of the amount if there was a change.

However, the manager's new employers, English Second Division club Watford FC, refused to pay a levy.

An agreement was reached at the weekend, according to information from the FAZ, Eintracht largely waived their request and released their long-time employee for the new task.

Ben Manga, born in Equatorial Guinea in Africa and raised in the Rhineland, came to Frankfurt in 2016 with the new sports director Fredi Bobic and made a name for himself with the signings of Sebastien Haller, Luka Jovic, Ante Rebic, Evan Ndicka and Tuta, among others.

After Bobic's departure, Manga rose from squad planner and chief scout to football director.

But a trusting cooperation with Bobic's successor Markus Krösche never developed.

The differences in working methods were too great, in the end manga had little influence on the Frankfurt transfers.

His latest coup was the signing of Randal Kolo Muani.

Manga will start work at Watford FC in a week, the declared goal: promotion to the Premier League.
