Qatar confronted Senegal with the one-sided support of the home fans, but in the 41st minute of the first half, Qatar conceded the opening goal.
A normal grounder allowed the defender to miss the ball and concede the goal.
And in the 3rd minute of the second half, Senegal's Didiu's sensational header collapsed again.
Qatar scored their first ever World Cup goal in the 33rd minute of the second half with Muntari's header following a quick counterattack, drawing cheers from the home crowd as well as the Qatari people who cheered on the street. I got hit and fell to my knees.
Disappointed home crowds left before the end of the first leg, and sobbing erupted across Qatar.
Qatari people who watched the soccer game in front of a large screen installed in the downtown area could not hide their regrets.
Qatar, who lost 3-1 and lost for the second time in a row, had the disgrace of being eliminated after 2 games, the first time as a host country on the 6th day of opening.
