The Brazil national team doctor officially announced that Neymar and Danilo will miss the remaining two World Cup group stage matches against Switzerland and Cameroon.
The doctor stated in statements to reporters today, Friday, that Neymar and Danilo, after suffering two injuries during the “Seleção” match against Serbia, confirmed their absence until the end of the group stage.
He explained, “Neymar and Danilo underwent an MRI scan on Friday and we found a tear in the ankle ligaments.”
He concluded, "They will definitely miss the next match, and we will be careful as the two players will undergo a treatment program to prepare them to play again in the World Cup."
