The German national team, very strangely, missed an easy victory that was within its reach, and yesterday it opened its career in the “Qatar 2022” World Cup finals, with a painful 1/2 loss against Japan in Group E in the first round.

Japan punished Germany for wasting many opportunities over the course of 75 minutes, after turning the tables on the "machines" in eight minutes.

This important Japanese victory brought back painful memories for the Germans when they lost 0-2 at the hands of South Korea in the World Cup in Russia, and that was a direct reason for their bitter exit from the first round, although Germany was the defending champion.

Germany, the four-time world champion, advanced with a goal through Gundogan (33) from a penalty kick, before Japan rose up in the second half, with the substitutions made by its coach Moriyasu, to score two goals within eight minutes via (substitutes) Duane and Asano, in the two minutes. 75 and 83, respectively.

And this became the second of the Qatar World Cup surprises, after the Saudi national team defeated Argentina with the same result in Group C.
