Denmark and Tunisia recorded their first 0-0 draw at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Denmark and Tunisia drew without scoring for the first half of the 90th minute in the first leg of Group D at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar.

This is the first time this match has been a goalless draw in the competition.

Yesterday (22nd), the United States and Wales Group B match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Attention was drawn to the performance of Denmark's Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen collapsed from a heart attack during the European Championships in June of last year, but dramatically recovered and is the main character of the 'human victory' that participated in this World Cup.

He runs with a cardiac defibrillator implanted in his body to correct abnormal heartbeats.

Eriksen, who came on as a starter, attempted a powerful mid-range shot in the second half, but it was blocked by Tunisian goalkeeper Ayman Dahman, and the corner kick he dedicated did not score.

In the end, the two teams that failed to score also had decisive chances.

In the first half, Tunisia opened the Danish goal once, but it was called offside.

In the 23rd minute of the first half, Isam Gibali dribbled alone from near the half-line and faced Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel one-on-one and split the opponent's goal, which was nullified as offside.

In the second half, there was a good chance for Denmark.

First, in the 24th minute of the second half, Eriksen threatened the Tunisian goal with a left-footed mid-range shot from the front of the penalty area, and Tunisian goalkeeper Dahman cleared it.

In the ensuing corner kick, Andreas Christensen attempted a shot with his head after Eriksen lifted the ball, and it hit the post.

Andreas Cornelius tried to push the ball in with his head before it hit the post, but the ball went past Cornelius' head and bounced off the post.

In the Tunisian attack that followed, the ball hit Danish defender Joachim Andersen's arm inside the penalty area and went outside, but the referee declared a corner kick instead of awarding a penalty.

In the second half of extra time, on the contrary, the ball hit the arm of Tunisian defender Yassin Marja in the penalty area, and the referee even reviewed the video (VAR) to decide whether or not to take a penalty kick, but even this time, no penalty was awarded.

Denmark and Tunisia recorded one draw each, and France and Australia in the same Group D will play the first leg shortly after at 4:00 am Korean time.

Denmark reached the round of 16 with 1 win and 2 draws in the group stage at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but lost to Croatia on penalties in the round of 16.

Tunisia was eliminated from the World Cup in Russia four years ago with 1 win and 2 losses in the group stage.
