Maja Stark took the step from amateur to professional in the late summer of 2021. Since then, she has won four European Tour victories, including the shock win at the Scandinavian mixed at Tylösand this summer, and was awarded Rookie of the Year.

This weekend, she has a chance to take home the entire European Tour, as well as player of the year, when the final is played at Alferini Golf in Spain.

- I have a pretty good distance from what I do.

When I'm not playing golf, I can really put the clubs aside and focus on other things and be present even outside of golf.

And I think it also rubs off on how I am on the golf course.

A bogey or double bogey, I can shake it off easily, she says.

- I had thought it would have been cool to take home both the Rookie of the year title and Player of the year.

"Will try to match it"

The only competitor who has a chance to reach her is her friend Maja Stark.

Stark also became a professional golfer at the end of last summer, and is just like Grant, born in 1999.

- I expect Maja to get there and be in her best shape, and play her best golf.

I can't assume anything else if I really want to take it home, says Linn Grant.

- I will try to match it and see how far it takes me, and how well she plays.
