A few hours before the first match of the Blues, the captain of the France team Hugo Lloris and the coach Didier Deschamps organized a press conference.

Despite Karim Benzema's injury, France remain optimistic and prepare for their match against Australia on Tuesday. 

The World Cup kicked off this Sunday in Qatar.

A world which finally starts and which is particularly awaited by the supporters of the France team.

The French dream of doubling their feat after their victory in Russia in 2018, and of lifting the cup again for this 2022 edition. So, to prepare the troops, Didier Deschamps and Hugo Lloris gave an appointment this Monday morning to the press .

Because with the approach of the first match of the Blues against Australia this Tuesday, the pressure is great on the France team.

But the captain of the team, Hugo Lloris, wanted to show his serenity and his concentration before returning to the field.

"We can't wait to start the first match, to launch our competition and to create a positive dynamic through the result," he explained to an audience of journalists. 

An “important but not decisive” match

Asked about Karim Benzema's injury, Didier Deschamps relativizes, stressing that Olivier Giroud is ready.

For the rest, the coach of the France team tries to be reassuring.

"This first match is important but not decisive. The truth is tomorrow's," he explains. 

If no important information has been disclosed, however, the coach was reassuring about the health of Raphaël Varane and Eduardo Camavinga.

The Blues will train this Monday evening from 7 p.m. French time, before facing the next day for their first match, Australia.
