Sweden, led by Oskar Eriksson in Edin's absence, opened with two points in the first round and Denmark countered by reducing.

Then it took until round four where Sweden picked up three points and went 5-1.

Again the Danes responded with a point reduction.

But in the sixth round, the Swedes put their foot down, took four points and a solid grip on the match to 9-2.

Denmark did not prevail by more than one more point before they finally chose to give up after seven rounds played.
