The balance of 68 strokes means that the Swede is tied for sixth after the first day, three strokes behind world leader Lydia Ko from New Zealand.

Madelene Sagström got around one stroke under par.

With that, Sagström is tied for 23rd.

For Maja Stark, the tour final's third Swede, it was more difficult.

She was recorded for 74 strokes, two over par.

The Swedish shooting star Linn Grant was also qualified to play in the tour final - but is not participating.

This is because she has not been vaccinated against covid-19 and is therefore denied entry to the United States.

The players on site settle for the largest winning sum in the history of women's golf – 2 million dollars, just over 21 million kroner.

In total, the equivalent of close to SEK 75 million is awarded in prize money.
