The striker of the France team Christopher Nkunku, last minute package for the World Cup, assured Wednesday that he would come back "even stronger", also defending his teammate Eduardo Camavinga, involved in the action having led to his injury but "unfairly targeted".

The day after Christopher Nkunku's tragic injury before taking off for the World Cup in Qatar, the Leipzig striker wanted to react and give news on the networks.

"Now let's get to work with one and only objective: to come back even stronger", wrote the Leipzig player on social networks, promising the Blues to be their "first supporter".

Victim Tuesday evening of a sprained left knee during the final training, Nkunku left the France group, replaced by Randal Kolo Muani.

The striker also sent "a thought for (...) Eduardo Camavinga, unfairly targeted" according to him.

Footage of Nkunku's injury does show that the Real Madrid player was involved in the action in question, but no clash or contact between the two men is evident.

"The World Cup should be a time of communion, not division," added Nkunku.

Camavinga had indeed been the subject of several racist comments on social networks after the publication of the video of the injury of his compatriot.
