The reporter learned from the Shanghai Putuo police on November 15 that recently, the Zhongshan North Road Police Station of the Putuo Sub-bureau received two consecutive cases of theft of car contents in the garage of the same community.
On-site investigation by the police found that the two cars were of the same brand, and the doors were pried open.
The police found that in the community, the contents of many private cars were stolen, and they were all of the same brand.
Many car owners did not choose to call the police because of their small losses.
The police checked the public video and found that after entering the underground garage, a man was looking for vehicles of this brand, pried open the door with tools and carried out the theft.
The whole process of prying the door took only ten seconds.
After the criminal suspect Zhou was arrested, after investigation by the police, Zhou had worked as an apprentice in a car repair shop and mastered basic maintenance skills, so he selected a certain brand of vehicles to open the "blind box" in the underground garage.
At present, the police have verified that there are more than 30 vehicles whose doors were stolen by Zhou.
The suspect, Zhou, was taken criminal coercive measures by the Putuo police according to law on suspicion of theft.
The case is under further investigation.
