The last time Marcus Rohdén got playing time in the national team was on October 16, 2018, when he scored nine minutes in a training international match against Slovakia.

A month later he was selected for the Nations League meetings with Russia without getting any playing time and since then he has been poked from the national team.

This collection he finally got the chance again - and he took it.

After a neat play from Mattias Svanberg, Rohdén was able to make it 1-0 against Mexico ten minutes into the second half.

However, the joy was short-lived.

Six minutes later, Mexico equalized through Alexis Vega.

However, Sweden did not give up and with just over five minutes left in regular time, Mattias Svanberg decided the match with his 2–1 goal.
