Action, reaction… The day after Christopher Nkunku was injured in training, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani was called up on Wednesday to replace that of Leipzig in the France team.

Nkunku, whose package has been validated by the FIFA medical committee, joins Paul Pogba, N'Golo Kanté, Mike Maignan and Presnel Kimpembe in the list of blue absentees for this World Cup in Qatar.

Kolo Muani (23) has only two selections on the clock, in the Nations League matches won against Austria (2-0) then lost to Denmark (2-0), on September 22 and 25.

The former Nantes player has already compiled eight goals and 11 assists in all competitions with his new club, qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

If the Blues join Qatar on Wednesday, Kolo Muani will not join Doha until Thursday from Japan, where he had left for an internship with his German team.
