Shenhua's foreign aid Bassogo and Sun Zhunhao, a midfielder who plays for Shandong Taishan Club, have both been selected for the World Cup squad.
Bassogo was born in 1995 and is a Cameroonian football player.
In 2017, Henan Jianye sent an invitation to Bassogo, and the two parties signed a five-year contract.
In 2021, Bassogo transferred to Shanghai Shenhua Club and wore the No. 17 jersey.
