“IPC management failed to fulfill its obligations to ensure the personal participation of the RPC delegation.

The German authorities rejected the IPC's request for visas," the Russian Paralympic Committee said in a statement.

The RPC called such a step on the part of Germany unprecedented and unacceptable for the country in which the headquarters of the IPC is located.

The committee noted that this is a demonstration of political interference in sports, which is contrary to Olympic and Paralympic values.

President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach earlier delivered a special address to the participants of the G20 summit.

Bach urged the G20 leaders to include a statement on the political neutrality of sport in the final resolution of the summit so that the hosts of future Olympics could host athletes from all over the world, regardless of any conflicts.

Famed trainer Tatyana Tarasova called Bach's behavior populism.
