Frida Westman injured her knee in connection with the World Cup competition on November 6 in Wisla, Poland.

She immediately felt that something had happened in connection with the landing.

Westman then went straight home to Trondheim in Norway, where she is stationed.

The idea was that she would be examined in Norway and pictures and statements from the Norwegian doctors would be sent to the Swedish doctors at SOK, Sweden's Olympic Committee.

- The pictures from Trondheim show suspicions about a few different things, what I don't want to speculate about yet.

But we have, in consultation with SOK, decided to fly Frida home as soon as possible for further examinations, says Andreas Arén.

Don't want to chance it

What is wrong is not yet official.

Westman will fly home tomorrow morning and will be examined at Sophiahemmet in Stockholm on Wednesday.

- Frida has been sitting on a bicycle and trying to exercise, but as far as I understand, she is in pain.

I don't want to believe or take a chance, but there is clearly something that is not right, says Andreas Arén.

Uncertain future

The next World Cup competition is in Lillehammer on the weekend of December 3-4.

How it will be with Frida Westman and whether she will have the opportunity to compete is currently unclear.

- Yes, I'm really crossing my fingers, but what a week it's been with all the different news, concludes Andreas Arén.

Frida Westman was second after the first jumping round in Wisla, Poland.

In the second, she was passed by the German Katharina Althaus, but still finished third and thus took the first podium of her career.

It is the first time a Swede is in the top three in a World Cup competition in ski jumping since 1992.
