With the approach of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the controversies are increasing.

This time, it's a video published this Sunday on social networks that makes people react.

The reason ?

Some believe that we can see fake supporters in the streets of Doha, report our colleagues from RTL.

The British press went further by claiming that Qatar had paid fake supporters to compensate for the lack of attendance, but there is nothing to confirm this for the moment.

On the video, on the other hand, it appears that the supporters of different teams all seem to have the same origin, a priori Indian.

Thus, many Internet users have questioned their nationality.

I'm not saying that Qatar takes us for idiots.

I'm just pointing out that the fans "around the world" all have the same skin tone, look a bit oriental and play ALL the same traditional instruments no matter what country they're supposed to be from.

That's all.

French fans who don't speak... French

In another video posted on TikTok, French "supporters" parade through the streets of Doha.

Problem: they don't seem to speak our language.

Just like the so-called Portuguese, German or Argentinian fans.

“We arrived there, there were a few French people but there was a very strong presence of supposed French fans when we are only a few thousand expatriates”, explained a supporter of the Blues to RMC Sport.

About 10,000 real tricolor supporters are expected in Qatar to support the Blues.
