Regarding the investigation of figure skating women's singles Kamila Valieva, who was found to have committed a doping violation at the Beijing Olympics this year, WADA = World Anti-Doping Agency, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency, which is in charge of the investigation, did not decide on the disposition within the set period. filed a complaint with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

At the Beijing Olympics in February, 15-year-old Valieva participated as a member of the Russian Olympic Committee and contributed to the gold medal of the figure skating team. I know there was a reaction.

Valieva was allowed to participate in the individual competition because she was under the age of 16, which is a "protected person" under WADA regulations, but the result was treated as provisional.

After that, RUSADA (Russian Anti-Doping Agency) was conducting an investigation, but RUSADA did not decide on the results of the investigation, including punishment, within the specified period.

For this reason, WADA filed a petition with the CAS = Court of Arbitration for Sport seeking a decision on disposition, and it was accepted by the 14th.

There will be hearings and trials by CAS arbitrators and a decision will be made.
