Janne Andersson on Emil Holm: He is a bit odd in his attitude as a Swede

22-year-old Emil Holm's progress in Serie A, where during the autumn he has started in fourteen out of fifteen league games for Spezia, has not gone unnoticed by Janne Andersson.

Högerbacken, who previously belonged to Gothenburg, will make his national team debut in the upcoming international matches against Mexico and Algeria.

- He feels brave, tough, a good main player and believes in himself very much.

On the field, he shows quite a bit of respect for the opponent.

It feels like an exciting player to be a full back.

It's a very interesting type, says national team captain Janne Andersson to SVT Sport.

Holm is one of two right backs in the squad who were taken out after 18 rejections.

But the other, Midtjylland's Joel Andersson, is ill and has not arrived in Girona and Spain where Sweden face Mexico at the Estadi Montilivi on Wednesday.

During her debut season in Spezia, Holm has so far scored one goal and two assists.
