Australia wins the Dubai Sailing Grand Prix

Australia's SailGP team led by Tom Slingsby beat France and Britain to take the podium at the B&O Marinas Sailing Grand Prix in Dubai, and Australia is now at the top of the list of contenders with nine points away from New Zealand, followed by France by one point, thus maintaining its important position among the top three.

After a fine performance in Dubai, Britain are now two points out of the tournament final, with only four contenders remaining this season, with the top four teams starting to drift away from the rest of the entrants.

On the subject, Slingsby said: “I honestly don't know how we did this, and I want to do it every race if we can, because everything we've done has been really great.

The final was not clear, and I think someone should explain to me one day what happened because it was so unbelievable.”

Hamza Mustafa, COO of P&O Marinas, a subsidiary of DB World, said: “We are proud to host the SailGP Grand Prix at Mina Rashid.

This distinguished sporting event was held for the first time in the Middle East, and this high-tech and high-speed race witnessed the participation of the best athletes who race using F50 sailing boats sailing at high speeds of nearly 100 km/h in front of thousands of spectators.
