Klopp was shown a red card when he reacted strongly to the referees' decision not to award Mohamed Salah a free-kick in the closing stages of the match.
The Liverpool coach has subsequently admitted that he overreacted, but now he is suspended for one match.

In addition to being suspended for one match, Klopp has previously been fined £30,000, around SEK 367,000, for his outburst in the City match.
Liverpool are eighth in the Premier League, 15 points behind Arsenal at the top.
The WC in Qatar will be played from 20 November to 18 December.
