A strong start to the 14th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship

The Jiu-Jitsu Festival competitions kicked off today as part of the activities of the 14th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, with a large crowd filling the stands, to follow exciting competitions between talents and buds on eleven mats at the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City.

The competitions of the first day of the championship were players from the children's category 1, 2, 3, from all belts, players from the categories of cubs, juniors and youth from the white belt holders, and parajujitsu players from all belts from around the world.

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Team managed to take the lead in the competitions of the first day of the Abu Dhabi International Jiu-Jitsu Festival, ahead of the Kazakhstan National Academy, which was runner-up, and Team Gladiators Academy in third place.

At the level of countries, the UAE ranked first, Kazakhstan came second, and Russia ranked third.

Today’s competitions were attended and the winners were crowned by Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations, First Vice President of the International Federation, Mira Sultan Al Suwaidi, Member of the Federal National Council, Muhammad Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary-General of the Support Services Sector in the Red Crescent Authority, and Muhammad Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Maryam Musallam Al Mazrouei, Director of Community Service Department at the Family Development Foundation, Lubna Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director of the School Operations Sector at the Ministry of Education, and a number of representatives of participating clubs and academies.
