Led by Olympic champion Alexander Zverev, Germany's tennis pros will take part in the newly created United Cup in Australia around the turn of the year.

In the team competition from December 29, 2022 to January 8, 2023, men and women play together in one team.

In addition to Zverev, Oscar Otte, Daniel Altmaier and the largely unknown doubles player Fabian Fallert have so far reported to the men.

For women, Jule Niemeier, Laura Siegemund, Anna-Lena Friedsam and doubles player Julia Lohoff want to take part.

Nadal for Spain

Germany meets the USA, Spain, hosts Australia, the Czech Republic and Great Britain in Sydney.

Two women's and two men's singles as well as one mixed will be played.

In addition to a total of 15 million euros in prize money, world ranking points will also be awarded.

A total of 18 teams take part, apart from Sydney, Brisbane and Perth are also played.

The group winners and best runner-up qualify for the finals in Sydney.
