Sweden finished in second place in the nations cup last year, just behind Norway.
The team this year has at least as much potential, if not greater, than last year, and thus the battle for who gets to drive in the World Cup also tightens.
At least eight have a reasonable chance of one of the six places.
- I really want to go to the World Cup, says Stina Nilsson.
- I see myself in the World Cup team, I have to do that, says Anna Magnusson,
Johannes Lukas believes that three have their seats safe, but without him mentioning any names, it is no big deal if these are Elvira Öberg, Hanna Öberg and Linn Persson.
- I think the best girls should go and it definitely feels like I'm showing that my highest level is very good, says Stina Nilsson.
The performance rules
For Stina Nilsson and Anna Magnusson, it is important to perform already now in the Swedish premiere in Idre to increase their chances of being selected for the World Cup.
- We will not change riders just so that everyone gets a chance, but when we feel that someone else is better then we are also prepared to change.
We are doing as we have done in previous years that we are clearly looking for performance, says Johannes Lukas.
