16-year-old center back Maja Wangerheim has signed a contract with Kristianstad, fourth in the women's league this year, which is valid until 2025. She is recruited from the elite team Älvsjö where she started in all 22 league games during the last season.

- I am very happy and proud that my first Allsvenskan contract is with Kristianstad's DFF.

I got a fantastic first impression of both the management staff and the club, says Maja Wangerheim to Kristianstad's website.

Maja has represented Sweden's U17 national team and is the younger sister of Ellen Wangerheim, 18, who is a winger in Hammarby.
