Nothing is going as planned for this 12th edition of the Route du Rhum.

After postponing the event for three days due to weather conditions, the organizers would now face a major problem: the loss of the trophy according to information from our colleagues from "Ouest-France".

But who could have won the legendary Route du Rhum trophy?

According to the Ouest-France

newspaper

, the organizers are looking for the cup.

The latter is supposed to be given to the winner in Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe, the place of arrival of the race.

It is in a reception room of the Palais du Grand Large, in Saint-Malo, that the trophy would have been seen the last time.

A room where the staff of the organization and the press are welcomed daily.

A man seen with the trophy

Still according to the daily

Ouest-France

, a man was seen with a box containing the trophy.

He would have taken the most natural exit in the world, in the middle of the afternoon.

Visible to security officers, the latter would not have been worried, the officers thinking that the situation was normal.

The organization is currently viewing all of the videos located inside and near the Grand Palace to try to determine the route taken by the individual.

Tuesday evening, the organizers of the event did not however confirm this information with Europe 1.
