Yesterday, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Football Association, received the Emirati international arbitration team, consisting of Mohammed Abdullah Hassan, Mohammed Ahmed Youssef and Hassan Al-Mahri, before they traveled to Doha to participate in the management of the 2022 World Cup matches, which will start on November 20.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid praised the efforts of stadium judges and their continued keenness to hone their talents, and record a distinguished presence for the Emirati whistle on continental and international levels, as well as their success locally, stressing that the continued participation of Emirati referees in the management of World Cup matches is evidence of the strength and stability of the Emirati arbitration, as well as its international reputation. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid said: "The Football Association provides unlimited support to arbitration because the success of football competitions depends primarily on the referee, his performance and his decisions," stressing that "the Emirati referee has become a permanent ambassador for Emirati football in the World Cup, and this is evidence of the size of the effort he is making in Indoor and outdoor camps, daily training and workshops, noting that the football family is proud of the successes of the Emirati stadium judges.”

He added: "We trust the citizen referee, who has achieved outstanding successes in the world of arbitration, both locally and internationally, and we will remain his support and provide him with the best environment for work and preparation."

For his part, the international referee, Mohammed Abdullah Hassan, said: “The reception of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid comes in continuity with his interest in referees and his belief in their vital role in football competitions. We appreciate his support, encouragement and keenness to follow the work of stadium judges and provide everything that helps them succeed.”

The meeting was attended by a member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, Salem Al Shamsi, and the Secretary-General of the Federation, Mohammed Al Dhaheri.
