The International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) approved the holding of friendly matches between the national teams of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan with Russia.

This was announced on Tuesday, November 8, in the national federations of both countries.

This means that meeting points will be added to the FIFA rankings, and coaches will be able to make no more than six substitutions.

Such positive news confirms the thesis that Vyacheslav Koloskov, Honorary President of the RFU, put forward a few days earlier.

In his opinion, the main goal of the upcoming matches is not even match practice, although it is also important, but to demonstrate that Russia is not cut off from world football.

“This is an indicator that Russia is a full-fledged member of FIFA, that you can play with it and nothing will happen for it.

With these games, the national team confirms that it is not in international isolation, ”the functionary noted.

Meanwhile, the day before, the final composition of the domestic team for two meetings was announced.

The final list included 30 players, including seven newcomers - Sergey Pinyaev, Ilya Agapov, Alexander Soldatenkov, Ruslan Litvinov, Artem Karpukas, Lechi Sadulaev and Vladimir Sychevoi.

As the head coach of the team Valery Karpin said earlier, he plans to play in friendly matches with two different squads.

Football players will start training in Novogorsk on Monday, November 14, and the next day they will fly to Dushanbe.

The meeting with the local team will be held on November 17 at the Central Republican Stadium, and the next day the Russians will go to Tashkent to play with Uzbekistan.
