Real Madrid's guest, Rayo Vallecano, suffered its first loss this season in the Spanish Football League, after winning it 3-2 at the end of the 13th round of the competition.
For Vallecano, Santi Comisania (5), Alvaro Garcia (44) and Oscar Trejo (67 from a penalty kick), while Real Madrid's goals were scored by Luka Modric (37) and Brazilian defender Eder Militao (41).
This loss allowed Barcelona to maintain its position at the top of the standings with 34 points, behind Real Madrid with 33 points.
As for Vallecano, who won his sixth this season and the third in a row, he raised his score to 21 points in eighth place.
Real Madrid has kept two clean sheets in 13 league matches this season.
