Next year's WC is valid as a qualification for the Olympics in Paris 2024, so it may be good for the Swedish gymnasts to gain experience from a major championship now in order to try to qualify for the Olympics next year.

How big is this year's WC?

Over 400 gymnasts from around 75 countries are in Liverpool.

Among other things, six Olympic champions from the Tokyo Olympics, six WC gold medalists from last year's WC and over a dozen medalists from the Olympics and WC.

The best 24 move on to the all-around final, while the best eight apply to both the team and division finals.
