The Jiu-Jitsu team raises the UAE's tally to 46 medals in the World Championships

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu team, under the auspices of Mubadala Investment Company, continued its leadership of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in its 27th edition, which was held at the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, with the participation of 2000 Players from 70 countries around the world.

The UAE champions for the under-18 youth category succeeded in raising the country’s balance in the tournament to 46 colored medals, 15 gold, 14 silver, and 17 bronze.



Today's competitions were allocated to the under-18 category, and the players of the national team, sponsored by "Mubadala Investment Company", managed to steal the spotlight and won 5 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze medals.

And the gold was crowned by Rawda Al Shamsi (40 kg), Aisha Al Shamsi (44 kg), Hamad Al Shehhi (46 kg), Mohammed Al Shehhi (50 kg), and Fahad Al Hammadi (73 kg).



As for the silver medals, they were won by Al Hammadi (over 70 kg), Majed Al Balushi (46 kg), Abdul Rahman Muhammad (50 kg), Abdul Rahman Al Marzouqi (55 kg), Faisal Al Wahedi (66 kg), and Hazza Al-Hassani weighed (73 kg), and Ammar Al Hosani weighed (above 81 kg).

The bronze medals were won by Mira Al-Saidi (40 kg), Hessa Al Yasi (44 kg), Al Yazia Al Kalbani (57 kg), Mira Al-Jerjawi (70 kg), and Khaled Al Shamsi (55 kg).
