The Higher Organizing Committee of the Peace Cycling Championship has allocated five million dirhams in financial prizes for the seventh edition of the tournament, which will start on December 10.
It is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The Higher Organizing Committee revealed that the championship will be held over a period of three months from next December to February 2023, and will witness the establishment of 10 races, including seven main races and three qualifying races.
Three qualifying races will be organized: the first Emirati amateur men's qualifying race, the second Emirati amateur men's qualifying race, and the elite men's qualifying race, and they will be organized by the Cycling Federation.
The first desert peace race will be held on December 17, the elite men's race on January 8, the second Emirati amateur men's ladder race on February 11, and the elite women's ladder race on February 12, and the championship will conclude with the second desert peace race on February 26.
Organizers expect the seventh edition to attract over 1,000 Emirati male and female competitors, residents and professionals from the GCC.

In cycling, not only at the level of the region, but also at the level of the world.”
He stressed that "the championship has made great strides in terms of participants and the number of races, throughout the past editions."
He concluded, "The races varied between amateur and professional competitions and desert bikes, as well as organizing two races on the occasion of (the fiftieth year), and the seventh season will witness a great leap in prizes."
