Mahdi Ali suffers a traffic accident outside the country

The former coach of the UAE national team and Al-Ahly youth, Mahdi Ali, had a severe traffic accident while he was outside the country.

Shabab Al-Ahly Club, the club in which Mahdi grew up as a player and started as a coach to lead the Emirates football to its most important Olympic achievement by qualifying for the 2012 London Olympics, issued a statement wishing a speedy recovery for the able coach.

In a statement, Al-Ahly Youth said: "The family of Al-Ahly Youth Club wishes a speedy recovery and a safe and sound return to the homeland for the able coach, Mahdi Ali, after he was involved in a traffic accident outside the country."
