Haaland is recovering and preparing to return with City against Fulham

Spanish coach Pep Guardiola revealed that his Norwegian striker Erling Haaland feels "much better", in his quest to return to Manchester City in the English Premier League tomorrow against its guest Fulham.

Haaland missed the two previous matches of City against Sevilla in the Champions League and Leicester City in the league due to a foot injury and illness.

The lethal Norwegian resumed full training on Thursday and Guardiola hopes his star man will be match-ready at the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland's presence will be a big boost for the defending champion, having scored 22 goals in 15 games in all competitions since arriving from Borussia Dortmund during the summer, including 17 in the league.

"It's much better," Guardiola said. "We'll decide today. It's a good step, the start of training, but now we have another (share) and we'll see."

Guardiola raised questions after he kept his other young star, Phil Foden, on the bench in the last two league matches, before entering the two wins over Brighton and Leicester.

But the Spaniard said he was not dissatisfied with Foden's level but was simply rotating to keep everyone in good shape with a busy schedule ahead of the World Cup.

He justified, "Riyad (Mahrez) was on the bench, Jack Grealish, Bernardo Silva, (Ilkay) Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne. This is not a problem. We have many players and we have to use them. I demand the best and I want the best from them. This will happen in the future. It was the case. Always so."

And he added, "In Dortmund we played in order to qualify for first place, and Kevin De Bruyne did not play a minute. It happens.
