Hansson had the fastest time in the trials for the 50 meter backstroke – 26.32 – but in the final she finished third.

With only two hundredths to spare, Hansson (26.35) grabbed the podium ahead of the Dutch Kira Toussaint.

Before Hansson, it was double Canadian – Kylie Masse (25.96) and Ingrid Wilm (26.25).

Hanssons was also third in the 100 meter medley, just like last weekend in Toronto.

She beat last week's personal record (58.31) by barely two tenths (58.12).

American Beata Nelson won, followed by French Beryl Gastaldello.
