It was an overall satisfied sporting director after Thursday's 1-0 victory over Shamrock which means that Djurgården went undefeated through the ECL group stage.

To the question "how does it taste", Bosse Andersson answers:

- It tastes like fillet of beef with wedged potatoes.

It feels absolutely fantastic.

This has really put Djurgården on the football map.

But he is also already looking ahead and sees a challenge with the continued European Games.

- We can only replace with three more players.

And we have some contracts that are expiring.

And we have some players who have done very well on the European stage.

So there will be some question marks.

"Crafting and picking"

The Swedish transfer window opens on January 1, 2023. Among the players in Djurgården who are on expiring contracts is goalkeeper Aleksandr Vasyutin.

His contract will not be extended, as he is on loan from Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg, which is affected by the sanctions against the country.

Bosse Andersson also brings up the unfortunate fact that Rasmus Schüller received a warning in the match against Shamrock, which means that he misses the first round of 16 on March 9.

- There will be a bit of tinkering and picking.

But we feel well prepared.

Djurgården's CEO Henrik Berggren is on the same track.

- It's about building a squad that is competitive but also thrives together and fights together, above all in everyday life.

It's about finding the right players, and it doesn't necessarily have to be the most expensive, he tells SVT Sport.
