A strange reason for not including Al-Ahly star in the Egyptian national team

Portuguese coach Roy Vitoria explained why he did not include Al-Ahly player Karim Fouad, despite his brilliance in the last period with "Al-Ahmar", by scoring a goal against Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup, then scoring two goals against the Interior in the local league, and winning the title of best player in the same match.

Vitoria said in a press conference to talk about Egypt’s preparations for the upcoming period: “I admire Karim Fouad, he was in the first camp in his most difficult moment, as he was not participating with Al-Ahly, I know his style of play, and currently I want to see another player who has the same capabilities in the same position. He gets the chance to represent the national team.

He continued, "With the league matches being overcrowded and the time between them being short and few, it makes us not judge the players. Karim Fouad started mainly in one match and Abdullah Juma in two matches."

He continued, "We have goals from the two periods, the first period of 5 days of training just to know the players' abilities to work at the national team level, and I tried to reduce the age of the players who joined for the future."
