Frenchman Gilles Simon, 37, played the last game of his career on Thursday.

Beaten in two sets (6-1/6-3) by the Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime in the round of 16 of the Masters 1000 at Bercy, the Niçois hangs up the rackets.

He had successively defeated Andy Murray then the 11th player in the world Taylor Fritz in the previous rounds.

After two exploits against Andy Murray and Taylor Fritz in this Masters 1000 of Paris-Bercy, the French tennis player lost in the round of 16 against the Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime in two sets (6-1/6-3).

A setback synonymous with the end of his career for the 37-year-old Niçois who announced that he would retire after this tournament.
