Jackie Moreno left the Danish second division to play in the Champions League club Borussia Dortmund in 2021. A dream move – she thought.

But with one year left, she broke her contract, gave up handball and moved home to Sweden.

This after one season with André Fuhr as coach.

Several players later came to accuse the German of a number of different things:

- Checked the players.

Among other things, players were not allowed to have their hair the way they wanted or wear shorts that were too loose.

- Regular scolding in front of the whole group where the coach stood face to face with the players and shouted that they can go to hell.

- Derogatory view of women, which "he was clear about", according to players SVT spoke to.

- Racist comments.

- Sexist comments about players on the team to other players.

- He has also texted players in the team about how sexy they are.

Messages that SVT Sport has taken notice of.

- In addition, he is said to have threatened players with breaking contracts if they did not follow what he said.

Had

a panic attack

Jackie Moreno talks about how she finally became afraid to come to the practices.

Over time, she developed panic attacks that often came before training.

- I was very scared because I knew I would be shouted at and questioned.

I would be criticized for everything I did and then it wasn't just about handball performances.

But it could be about things like the way I talked, the way I sat or the way I applied glue.

So I remember having to go to practice almost half an hour early because I knew I was going to have a panic attack in the parking lot and I needed to pull myself together before going into the gym.

Something that I loved so much and that I had dreamed about all my life had become a nightmare, says Moreno with a tremor in his voice.
