The ranking of the Grand Sumo Kyushu Tournament, which will be held on the first day on November 13th, was announced, and Tamawashi, who won the first place and was the oldest, sat in the East Komusubi, returning to the sanyaku for the first time in about three years.

Tamawashi went on to win 13 wins and 2 losses in an intense thrusting sumo wrestling match last month when he was the third maegashira in the east, making him the oldest since 1958, when the six-stage system was established. At the age of 37 years and 10 months, he won his second championship.

Tamawashi sat in the eastern komusubi in the Kyushu tournament ranking announced on the 31st, returning to the three roles for the first time in about three years since the Nagoya tournament in the first year of Reiwa.

Tamawashi, who is 37 years and 11 months old, is the third oldest post-war san'yaku promotion after the former ozeki Nayoroiwa and former sekiwake Takamiyama.

In addition, Shoen, who won the Distinguished Service Award with 10 wins in the first place and the east maegashira, was ranked in Komusubi, the first three roles.

Shoen was promoted to three roles over 46 places from the first ring in the first place in 2015, making it the second slow promotion in history for a student sumo wrestler.

In addition, Mitakekai, who lost from ozeki to the next place, will be a sekiwake, aiming to return to ozeki with 10 wins or more.

For the first time in 48 years since the autumn tournament in 1974, the Kyushu tournament has 3 sekiwakes and 4 komusubi.

In addition, Ozeki and Masayo, who have 4 wins and 11 losses in the previous place, will welcome the Kyushu tournament as a corner number for the fifth time.

The new curtain is Atami Fuji alone in the Isegahama room.

On the other hand, Yokozuna Terunofuji, who was absent from the previous place due to injuries to both knees, underwent surgery on both knees in mid-October and has been absent from the autumn tour since the 22nd.

The Grand Sumo Kyushu Tournament will open on November 13th at the Fukuoka International Center in Fukuoka City.
